WELCOME TO JUSTICE QUARTER HORSES

Our History

We are located in northeastern Montana right on the MT/ND stateline. Our grandparents, Soren & Mary Rasmussen purchased the ranch in 1942. Initially the ranch was farmed, and Grandpa raised registered black Angus and registered Appaloosas. As the ranch progressed, the Angus and Appaloosas were replaced with registered Quarter Horses.

Grandpa had a keen eye when it came to Quarter Horses. He had the philosophy that the horses needed to be built for work but also be beautiful enough for the show pen. Many of the horses he raised had the height, bone, and athleticism he enjoyed. Repeat clients still request horses from certain mares and stallions as we have retained most of Grandpa's bloodlines as well as incorporated new lines as well.

We grew up on the ranch. We rode and handled horses daily. We helped with the fall production sales, as well as private treaty sales of the horses. Grandpa passed away in 2005. Victoria and I moved to the ranch, to what had always been our real home. Grandpa left his legacy of good solid horses with eye appeal to us. We like to think he'd be proud of our broodmare band as well as our standing stallions.

Since moving to the ranch, we have kept his bloodlines and incorporated the more modern cutting/reining lines.

Grandpa’s lines included Sonny Dee Bar, Poco Pine, Driftwood & Peppy Show. The highlight of his program was Saltys Devil 5. "Salty" sired easy to break and handle horses with agility & beauty. We still have Salty horses whether in our broodmare band or our standing stallions. Salty was near and dear to us all and we intend on keeping his lines among our horses.

While we retained Grandpa's old bloondines, we also modernized adding Peptoboonsmal, Duals Blue Boon, Kit Kat Sugar, High Brow Cat, and the ever popular Metallic Cat to our herd. We also have a group of mares and sire that generate Leo Hancock/Blue Valentine ranch type horses as well.

Our goal is to provide horses that have the ability, color, and versatility to go from the ranch to the show arenas. Whether it be cutting, reining, AQHA shows or roping events.

We welcome you to our website and invite you to visit often as we continue to produce the horses that we love so much. Our available horses will be updated regularly as well. We are available by Facebook, phone, text, email, or ranch visit. We love to show off the horses that call this peaceful ranch home.
